Cycling in Höxter
Cyclists are as much a part of Höxter's townscape as the half-timbered houses of the Weser Renaissance, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey and the Weser. While important trade routes used to intersect in Höxter, today there are several regional and national cycle routes. The Weser Cycle Route and the European Cycle Route R1 are certainly among the best-known long-distance cycle routes. Höxter is almost a must-stop for many long-distance cyclists, not least because of the good accommodation options. And those who don't stay overnight here can at least enjoy a break in one of the many street cafés.
