From Hann. Münden, head north to Hemeln and continue via Bursfelde to Oberweser. The main route of the Weser Cycle Path runs along the right bank - mostly directly along the Weser and in the midst of unspoiled nature with great views. You pass through picturesque Lippoldsberg and Bodenfelde. After Wahmbeck you reach the baroque town of Bad Karlshafen, which invites you to take a break with its historical sights.
Follow the signs to Würgassen, use the bridge there to change sides of the river and cycle on to Beverungen. From here, it is only a few kilometers to the half-timbered town of Höxter with its numerous sights and the World Heritage Site of Corvey.

Where "Werra and Fulda kiss, they must leave their names". In Hann-Münden, the two rivers join to form the Weser and this is also where the Weser Cycle Path begins. Well signposted, you follow the bends of the river and cycle north past Reinhardshagen and on to Bursfelde with its former Benedictine monastery. Via Gieselwerder and along often untouched nature, the cycle path meanders further along the Weser to Lippoldsberg. It's worth taking a short break here! The village lies in a picturesque valley basin, surrounded by large wooded areas of the Reinhardswald, the Bramwald and the Solling-Vogler Nature Park.
From Lippoldsberg, it is just a stone's throw to Bodenfelde and further north you come to Wahmbeck. Next you come to the baroque town of Bad Karlshafen, which also invites you to take a break with its historic town hall and the German Huguenot Museum. Built by Landgrave Carl zu Hessen around 1700, the baroque town of Bad Karlshafen is considered one of the pearls of the Weser Uplands. In Würgassen you use the bridge to cross the river and your next stop on the Weser Cycle Path tour is the charming little town of Beverungen. The destination of this stage is the half-timbered town of Höxter. The venerable UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey, located directly on the Weser Cycle Path, is particularly worth seeing in Höxter. However, the town also has other small museums and a wide range of restaurants and retail outlets that are well worth a visit.
