The second stage of the Weser Cycle Path takes you almost continuously along the river from Höxter through the picturesque Weser Uplands to Hamelin.
You start the stage in Höxter and just a little further north, directly on the route, is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey. The cycle route then takes you to Holzminden, known as the "town of scents and aromas". The route continues to Polle. On the way, it is worth making a detour to the Weser Renaissance Bevern Castle. In Polle, you can take the ferry across the Weser to visit Cinderella at Everstein Castle. Cycle along Rühler Schweiz to Bodenwerder, the home of Baron von Münchhausen, and on to the small village of Grohnde. It is then only a stone's throw to Emmerthal, from where the route leads via Tündern to the Pied Piper town of Hameln. The historic old town boasts restored half-timbered and Weser Renaissance houses.
