Residence of the abbesses in the imperial, highly noble lady’s chapter – today, it is a carefully restored, well cared-for property of a cultural association. It accommodates an accessible, big collection – museums for physics, hunting culture, ethnography, colonial history, European cultural goods and Prussians. The outside public gardens give away the variation inside, which is waiting for you: many sculptures, originating from everywhere in this world, decorate the water canals and green public gardens. In the park, a wooden chapel in Norwegian style rises up. In there, the relics of St. Ansgar, the 1 st bishop of Hamburg a.D. 832, are put up.
