Bevern Castle is one of the most representative buildings of the Renaissance in the Weser region. It was built between 1603 and 1612 according to the main specifications of the client, Statius von Münchhausen, as a regular four-winged complex around a square courtyard with a moat, two bridges and a castle garden. After an extremely eventful history, the district of Holzminden took over from the municipality in 1986 and developed it into a regional cultural center. Today, the castle is once again a place full of cultural life.

Open from Easter to October.
The castle is open on public holidays on a Monday (e.g. Easter and Whitsun).
From November to March, visits are possible by prior arrangement.
Public guided tours of the castle from Easter to October every Sunday and public holiday at 3 pm and June to September every 1st Saturday of the month at 2 pm. Meeting point is the castle information desk. Guided tours for groups can also be booked out of season.
