The almost 80 m high Hannoversche Klippen near Würgassen have existed in their present form for thousands of years. They have always been a special eye-catcher and with an area of around 26 hectares, they are the only natural rock formations
of red sandstone in this region of any significant size.
Since spring 2011, the Weser Skywalk has been enthroned on one of the seven rock pillars - a viewing platform on three levels, one of which protrudes five meters forward over the cliffs and from which you can enjoy a wonderful viewing experience: it offers an equally magnificent view of the Weser valley, Herstelle Castle and monastery and the Weser towns of Herstelle, Würgassen and Bad Karlshafen.as well as the canopy of the beech and oak forest with its primeval forest character.
The Weser Skywalk weighs 25 tons and is anchored in the rock by nine steel piles up to 14 m long.
